About Us

 DataVator started as a Select, Design, Manage data center company. In 2008, DataVator built a facility in South Dakota, designed it, ran it, and learned firsthand what it takes to run an operationally efficient and reliable facility rooted in measurable data.

That experience opened the door to a career in the data center industry for Heidi and Scott. Heidi spent 13 years at Legrand/Raritan-Server Technology, starting in chat support and working her way up to Global Account Specialist, supporting operators of every size, from single server rooms to hyperscale campuses.  Scott continues his role as VP of Client Services at Sunbird Software.

About a year ago, Heidi sat down with her 4 kids and their partners and asked a simple question: what would it look like to bring DataVator back? The answer became DataVator 2.0, a family business built on 2 generations of experience and a shared belief that data centers can run smarter.

It's a different world than when DataVator first opened its doors. In the last couple of years, AI changed everything. Data centers aren't hiding in the background anymore. They're front and center, and that changes how they have to be managed. New space is hard to come by, so this time we're focused on the Manage side: helping data center managers get the most out of the space they already have, from making sure intelligent power strips are online and pulling information, to auditing anything from a network closet to a full data center campus.

It all starts with a consultation. We walk through your infrastructure, find the inefficiencies, and show you where the savings are.
